Description
Absorption towers are mainly used for gas purification; by making the mixed gas come into contact with specific absorbents, it is to achieve the purpose of separating or removing specific components, or for the recovery and purification of valuable gas components.
Structure
- Tower body: Usually made of corrosion-resistant materials.
- Packing bed: The main function is to increase the gas-liquid contact area and improve the absorption efficiency.
- Spraying device: Arranged above the packing bed and evenly sprays the absorbent liquid onto the surface of the packing through nozzles.
- Mist eliminator: Remove the droplets in the gas to prevent the droplets from being discharged along with the gas, thus avoiding secondary pollution and equipment corrosion.
- Inlet and outlet flues: Entrance and exit for gas in and out.
- Liquid distributor: Evenly distribute the absorbent liquid on the surface of the packing to form a liquid film and improve the absorption efficiency.
- Redistributor (optional): Usually located between the packing layers in absorption towers with relatively high packing layers, to redistribute the liquid and making it even again, so as to improve the efficiency.
