Description
Stripper tower is used for separating solutes in liquid mixtures. It has a very wide range of applications in the chemical industry, such as separating light components in oil and gas, treating wastewater from coal gasification, separating different components in coal tar, removing volatile organic compounds in sewage, and separating and recovering organic solvents in pharmaceuticals production. The principle is to inject steam or gases to reduce the partial pressure of the solute in the liquid phase, making it volatilize , thus realizing the separation.

Structure
- Tower body: Main structure to provide the space for gas-liquid contact and separation.
- Bed: To increase the gas-liquid contact area and make the stripping process more efficient.
- Steam inlet: Introduce steam into the tower. Steam serves as a stripping agent to reduce the partial pressure of the solute and prompt the solute to volatilize from the liquid phase.
- Liquid inlet: Where the liquid mixture to be treated enters the tower.
- Liquid outlet: Where the liquid that has undergone stripping treatment is discharged out of the tower.
- Gas outlet: Where the stripped gas (containing the solute) leaves the tower body.
- Manhole: For inspection, maintenance and cleaning work.
- Support: To support the tower body and make it firmly installed on the foundation.
- Insulation: Reduces the heat loss inside the tower and maintains the temperature stability, which helps to improve the stripping efficiency and save energy.
