Sinopec Hunan Petrochemical's 170,000-ton/year high-performance epoxy resin unit is a key construction project in Hunan Province and for Sinopec. The 27 core equipment units manufactured this time have an inner diameter of 4 meters and a mixing shaft length of 8 meters, with high overall polishing precision requirements. The high viscosity of materials in the reactors, harsh reaction processes, and complex internals require agitators to have strong mixing capabilities, mass transfer, and heat transfer efficiency to ensure full reaction, placing extremely high demands on the design, manufacturing, and inspection of mixing equipment.
Facing these challenges, Weihai Chemical Machinery established an experienced project team. The mixing R&D department used advanced CFD flow field simulation technology to deeply analyze mass transfer and heat transfer requirements of the process, innovatively optimizing the design of mixing systems and internal structures to achieve precise matching between equipment performance and process parameters. Under multiple pressures such as tight schedules and complex processes, the team broke through manufacturing bottlenecks through modular operation management and a full-process quality control system, ultimately delivering this batch of core equipment with high quality.
