Weihai Chemical Machinery and KES have recently completed and delivered two JPP horizontal polypropylene reactors to Maoming Petrochemical's 200,000 t/y No. 4 polypropylene unit, following final inspection.

As core equipment in polypropylene production, these reactors adopt Japan Polypropylene Corporation (JPP) technology and require high standards in materials, mixing stability, and sealing. The project team addressed challenges including high length-to-diameter ratio, strict internal tolerance requirements, and complex seal and lubrication systems. Welding and assembly methods were optimized to ensure coaxiality and operational stability, with comprehensive testing to guarantee performance under high temperature and pressure.

The company has accumulated extensive experience in this field. In 2017, two 70m³ polypropylene horizontal reactors supplied to Mitsubishi Chemical's JPP Goi Factory in Japan have been operating steadily and received recognition from the client.

Final assembly and testing coincided with the Spring Festival holiday, but the team maintained continuous work to complete and deliver the reactors on schedule. During inspection, the client commended the manufacturing control, site management, and staff professionalism.

The horizontal design with efficient agitators enables mild reaction conditions, flexible product transition, and good copolymerization performance-suitable for high value-added polypropylene products.
